HVAC Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. While not responsible for installing whole systems, the technician must be familiar with installing and replacing system components and parts. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repairs:

Service and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure efficient operation.

Perform routine maintenance to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate.

Parts Installation and Diagnostics:

Install and replace HVAC system components, such as fans, motors, thermostats, and filters.

Diagnose system issues using tools and recommend solutions for optimal performance.

Perform minor electrical and mechanical repairs related to HVAC systems.

System Testing:

Test HVAC systems after maintenance or repair to verify proper functionality.

Monitor system controls and gauges for accuracy and performance.

Customer Service:

Clearly explain system issues, repair processes, and maintenance recommendations to clients.

Provide guidance on energy-efficient practices and system care.

Collect same-day payments and write out invoices once work is completed.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all work meets industry standards and safety regulations.

Maintain accurate service records and proper documentation for each job.

Other Duties:

Respond to emergency calls and provide timely service.

Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices.

Stay in touch with the office personnel concerning scheduling, requests, and necessary return visits and parts.

Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in HVAC systems preferred.

Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role (3 years or more).

Strong understanding of HVAC systems and troubleshooting methods.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Physical stamina to work in confined spaces, lift heavy equipment, and withstand varying temperatures.

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
