QA Engineer

We are a global supplier of precision metal and machined fabricated components and assemblies serving the aerospace, power generation and commercial industries seeking  a full-time Quality Engineer.

Full time position M-Th 10 hr shift (5:30a-4p) with the flexibility to stay late as needed.  Primary functions are to perform:  review of engineering drawings in conjunction with routers in manufacturing and quality planning to ensure conformance to customer requirements.  Initiate FAI and SPS requirements on all new jobs.  Oversee the calibration program.  Oversee the internal audit program.  Assist the Quality Manager with all 3^rd party, special process and customer quality system audits.  Provide back-up for the Quality Manager and Lead Inspector.

Looking for a candidate with experience in:

-GD & T

-The ability to read and interpret machining and fabrication drawings, work instructions and engineering specifications

-Experience in metal fabrication – exotic metals and stainless & mild steel

-Standard quality control measuring devices: verniers, micrometers, height gages

-Work methodically and efficiently, dependable and pays attention to detail

-The ability to use a CMM is a plus

-Understanding of the NDT process with regard to FPI & Xray

-Creating & organizing Inspection reports/bubble drawings for new parts &

Revisions

-Familiarity with Industry Standards

-Laser Lab Testing submittal/review

-Programming & Operating the Romer Arm CMM is a plus

Candidate will undergo a pre-employment physical that includes a drug test, able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, possess a valid picture ID and be authorized to work in this country.
Minimum of 1 year metal manufacturing quality engineer experience
