HVAC Controls and Energy Management

This course provides students with the theoretical and practical skills necessary to be effective installers and troubleshooters of Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Focused primarily on HVAC control systems, the course includes classroom theory and discussions, and "hands-on" electrical labs applying HVAC control system operating sequences to actual relay logic. The course also includes an in-depth study and wiring of single phase and 3-phase electric motors, motor controls and control circuits, and Variable Frequency Drives. This course will benefit HVAC Technicians, Controls Technicians, Electricians, Facilities Maintenance Technicians and Facility Managers. After completion of this course, students will be able to apply what they have learned to repair and upgrade HV AC control systems and implement energy efficiency improvements to reduce facility operating costs.
