HVACR Commercial & Industrial Refrigeration Prep
Offered in Woburn MA, Westwood MA, Worcester MA
Including E.P.A. Certification Exam Preparation & Testing Freon Recovery [C.F.C.]
This course is designed to instruct students in the fundamentals of commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning.
Students will obtain hands on experience with copper brazing, soldering and flaring projects. This course also covers electrical circuits as well as recovery, evacuation and charging techniques. Students will become thoroughly familiar with refrigeration hand tools and testing equipment. Students will prepare and test for the EPA 608 Refrigerant Recovery Certificate. Upon successful completion of this course, the students will be granted 100 hours of theory towards the 100 hours required to obtain their Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License.

This is a beginner class designed for:
- Individuals with no prior experience in the trade, or
- Individuals working in the field that would like to complete the education requirements in order to obtain an HVACR license.
This is a 15 week course that consists of lecture and hands-on lab experience. Included in the class is the E.P.A. license test which is needed to recover Freon.
- Once you complete this class and get your EPA certification, you can work in the field on units 10 tons or under, which includes residential and some commercial units.
